The stepping motor is an electric motor having an advantage that it is inexpensive and consumes only small power. Further, the stepping motor has a disadvantage that the magnetic force changes at every rotation of the stepping motor thus causing the rotation of the stepping motor to become unstable. To overcome this disadvantage, it has been proposed to use the step-out control in which the rotation of the stepping motor is controlled by detecting a missing rotation of the stepping motor. In this control, a variation of the magnetic flux from the stepping motor made by the motor is detected by a sensor which is a Hall element or the like. Any missing rotation is detected by comparing the phase of the output signal from a signal generator, which is in agreement with the magnetic flux variation, with the phase of the output signal from the sensor and generating a control signal depending on the comparison result. A related patent application was filed by the present inventors in Japanese Patent Application No. 9-62060 which was not laid open at the time of filing of this patent application. A motor driving jack for a recording and/or reproducing apparatus disclosed in the patent application will be described with reference to FIG. 20. In this driving jack 100, as shown in FIG. 20, the output power of a motor 101 is detected by an inner sensor 105 and an outer sensor 106 which are respectively disposed at the opposite sides of the motor 101. The stepping control is performed on the basis of the result of the detection which is carried out by the inner sensor 105, while the step-out control is performed on the basis of the result of the detection which is carried out by the outer sensor 106. The inner sensor 105 detects the magnetic flux variation of the stepping motor 101 which varies periodically at every rotation of the stepping motor 101. However, if the outer sensor 106 detects the magnetic flux variation of the stepping motor 101, it is very difficult to correctly detect the variation in such a range as shown at a part d in FIG. 19. More particularly, the outer sensor 106 detects the magnetic flux variation of the stepping motor 101 which varies with respect to a full-scale voltage. 7211a4ac4a
